Rows of sparkling beads and bright silver leather are featured on this vintage modernist cocktail bag from Japan, circa 1960s.

The evening or party style handbag consists of a foldover envelope style purse with extended tab and snap button closure.  It has translucent silver lined glass beads covering the body, along with a soft silver leather flap.

*Please note that the interior of the silver beads have tarnished over time, particularly on the flap. 

The cocktail purse also has a single beaded handle, and measures approximately 7&1/2 inches by 6&1/4 inches high – has a silvery satin lined interior with small mirror compartment as shown (no mirror), and an embroidered tag for “Made in Japan”.
