There are a few components of the machine indicating that it was marketed in Sweden: the owner's manual is written in Swedish, it comes with an original Swedish oil can, and the Bakelite-banded motor with gold writing notes that its electrical specifications are per Swedish specs. This specific Bakelite-banded motor is one of rarest Featherweight motors in existence and not all Featherweights sold in Sweden have it. Some of the had a metal plaque placed on the front of the machine - this machine was likely sold before that plaque was being issued.
This machine is from the very first batch of 221K Featherweights commissioned in the 1950s; it is the 70th machine from that first batch commissioned on Valentine's Day, 1950 in Kilbowie, Scotland.
